Bread Shed is all about making naturally leavened bread with local ingredients. In short, bread from the foodshed. Every delicious sourdough loaf uses wheat grown in Farmington and milled in Jarales. Each loaf also has a fair amount of Blue Corn, because it's delicious and is a resilient crop for our area. The Blue Corn is grown and milled on the Santa Ana Pueblo and is certified organic.
When you get your bread from Bread Shed, you're getting more than fantastic loaves. You're investing in your local grain economy, you're minimizing the environmental harm done in your food system, and you're building relationships with local farmers, artisans, and bread fans.
